Posted in Seniors by Tonya Peterson on January 11, 2009

I wanted to get all of my Best of 2008 posts done before I got back from Florida, but it just didn’t happen.  I guess I was to busy having fun in the sun to think about updating the blog.  Well it is back to the frigid  weather in Utah so the work has started again.  I will be posting 2 more Best of 2008 posts in the next 2 days, so keep coming back . . . oh and don’t forget to leave a comment!

I love doing Senior Portraits!  I am really free to do fun, funky, colorful pictures.  I have been so lucky with the clients that have hired me.  They have all been very cool and modern and up for anything!  It as ay to hard to choose my favorites, but here they are!!!

WOW!  That one word sums up this amazing senior!  What a great session!  Kadee was a natural in front of the camera which made my job a cake walk!  We went to the most amazing location I have ever been to.  It was filled with a bunch of old rusty junk.  It was like a dream when my friend told be about this location.  Enjoy!

p.s.  Kadee . . . I am so sorry this took forever to get up!  Life got super crazy!!!

She is a stunner huh!

Class of 2009 : Maygen

Posted in Portraits, Seniors by Tonya Peterson on November 4, 2008

This Class of 2009 session was awesome!  Maygen is such a beautiful girl.  Her older sister Erica was one of my cheerleaders when I was the coach so I had met her before.  She is a total sweetie.  She has the prettiest hair I have ever seen . . . it is natural too!  I hope she NEVER colors it!

I wasn’t kidding about her being awesome looking!  This picture is straight out of the camera.  No touchups at all!  Talk about flawless skin!

Some previews of what is to come!

Posted in baby, Family, Portraits, Seniors by Tonya Peterson on October 30, 2008

I have been so busy today that I didn’t get a chance to get a whole blog post up!  Sorry about that!  I did however get together some little teasers of what is coming the next few days!

I took my nephew Brendan’s 6 month pictures about a week ago.  Isn’t he the cutest baby ever!!!

I also took some family portraits of an amazing family!  They were so much fun to shoot.  Don’t you love how the dog is posing too!  So cute!

I always love senior portraits!  I had the awesome experience of doing 2 senior sessions in the past week. They are both beautiful fun girls!  Wait until you see the rest!!!

Here is Maygen

And Kadee

Be watching in the next 5 days for the full posts!

Class of 2009 : Cheyney

Posted in Portraits, Seniors by Tonya Peterson on October 14, 2008

I am almost half way through the month and I haven’t missed a day!  I am so proud of myself!  I am going to be posting more Christmas cards within the next few days so keep coming back and checking!

I love taking Senior Portraits!  Especially if they are as awesome as Cheyney was!  She was one another one of my cheerleaders that I coached.  Isn’t she about the cutest, tiniest girl you have ever seen! I just love her!  If you love the pictures don’t forget to leave some love in the comments!  I had about 30 pictures saved as my favorites but I knew I couldn’t blog that many so here are my condensed favorites!  I hope you all like them!!!

We were driving around and we found this killer old orange van.  I LOVE it!!!

Isn’t she the cutest thing you have ever seen.  I told her she kind of looks like Britney Spears when she first became popular, you know before all of the weird head shaving stuff.

I am really sad that I only have one more year left of cheerleaders I know.  My little J.V. freshman girls are going to be seniors next year!  So weird!!!

Thanks Cheyney for an awesome shoot!  It was too much fun!

Class of 2009 : Chelsea

Chelsea is a total sweetheart to work with.  I just love her whole family.  I met them all when I photographed her sister Courtney’s wedding.  Enjoy!

Wow!  That was a lot of stuff to cover!  Now back to the original post… Alex’s Birthday Weekend!  If you know when Alex’s birthday is (September 4th) that you know how behind I am at blogging.  But better late than never!  I decided to take Alex and Paige for a little getaway to Park City.  We stayed at the Marriott’s Mountain Side Resort (which is top notch BTW)  Paige loves the pools there!  We also went down into the city one of the days we were there.

Alex has been dying to take Paige to the Aquarium so we finally went.  I have NOT been dying to go to the Aquarium . . . I don’t even like to go down the fish aisle at the pet store (so creepy!!!)  Oh the things you do for your children.  It actually was pretty cool.  Here are some pics!

I had to take a picture of the outside of the Aquarium in SLC.  Yep it use to be an Albertson’s!  So funny huh!

Paige was so deeply asleep when we got there.  We couldn’t get her to wake up!!!

My fav shot of the day!  I am telling you, Alex has some mad skills with the camera!!!

Paige is so spoiled!  I swear she got 5 stuffed animals that weekend!  The insanity needs to stop!

Again…MAD SKILLS!  All of these shots were taken by Alex (except the one of him, obviously!)

Thanks again to everyone who stops by the blog!  You all rock but you would be rockin my socks if you left a comment!  So do it!!!

Posted in Bridals, Family, Seniors by Tonya Peterson on September 5, 2008

The Shiner family is one of my favorites!  I have done Sammi’s senior portraits, both girl’s weddings and now Blake’s senior portraits and family pictures!  They are some of my best customers, but more than that they are friends.  I always feel so welcomed into their home.  They are one of the families that makes me love my job more and more every day!  Carrie wanted a whole bunch of pictures taken so we decided to get them done all in one day!

So here is the story with Sammi’s bridals.  If you have been following the blog for a while you may recognize her.  She actually got married in March, but the day we were suppose to do her bridals her brother Blake got in a accident and had to cancel them.  Thanks goodness he was ok!  So even though it took almost 5 months to get them done we finally found to do them.  Tis actually worked out great because it was is beautiful in Altamont in the summer, but not so much in the winter/early spring.

Next up was Blake’s senior portraits.  To say he hates getting his picture taken is an understatement, but he did an awesome job and the pictures turned out so great!

Now on to the family shots.  These were so east and fun to take because first I knew them all so well, but also because they are super goof balls and had fun with the camera.

The Kids:

Alex, Kirby, Blake, Sammi, Matt

Shane & Carrie Lynn

Thanks again Carrie Lynn!  It was a blast!

McLayne : Class of 2008

Posted in Seniors by Tonya Peterson on May 19, 2008

I met McLayne’s mom (who happened to be my husbands 4th grade teacher!) when I was taking pictures for the USU graduation.  She graduated with her Masters Degree!  More of that to come later!

McLayne played Golf and Baseball during high school so we thought it would be fun to highlight both of the sports.  I love the way they turned out!!!

I love this golf club cover!  A CATFISH!  It was so funny!

This is my mom’s new car!  Killer huh!  McLayne wanted to take a picture by it.  He told his friends it was his graduation present!  It is the cutest dang car and a BLAST to drive!

I think it is awesome that McLayne and his mom both graduated this year!  Congrats both of you!!!

Now to some casual shots!

One of my fav shots of the day…

Congratulations!

Blanca : Class of 2008

Posted in Seniors by Tonya Peterson on May 8, 2008

I was so excited when Blanca called me to do her Senior portraits.  I was her cheerleading coach last year and I miss ALL of the girls so much.  It was really fun talking to her again!

The blue wall we found was my favorite!
